I'm Lamour, an entrepreneur. I thought I'd grow up and become a veterinarian. However, after working at an animal hospital and watching the animals suffer, I chose a more positive route for my career and opened a dog walking business instead. I attracted over 100 clients and maintained a great reputation for over 15 years. My company was called Pawlifornia. When the pandemic started, in 2020. A lot of my clients began working from home and the business slowed down. But I did not. I expanded my company and added a cookie line, and created healthy dog cookies to sell at farmers' markets. However, a start up like this needs a lot of money, and California was very expensive.
I decided to move to the east coast and set up pop-up shops at vendor events. One thing led to the next, and this experience opened new opportunities. I was inspired from other artists to start making my own candles. Yet again, I always like being different, and I didn't want my candles trapped in glass jars. I had to create new shapes. The outcome- alcohol bottles. Thus, "THE CANDLE BAR" was born. Ironically, I don't enjoy drinking alcohol as I've seen its negative effects on so many people, however, I enjoy socializing and inspiring others to have moderation and not bad habits. It's important to see the bigger picture in life -and not be dependent on any substances.
Therefore, In a society where we are constantly influenced by media and glued to our phones, I founded Lamour's Club ~~ A place to bring humanity back together and form a small community where we can create real relationships with other locals, neighbors, and make new friends.
