Lamour's Club was founded in Glassboro, New Jersey, in 2025, but it's been years in the making. I'm Lamour, an entrepreneur at heart, and animal lover since my childhood. I always thought I'd grow up and become a veterinarian, but instead, I opened a dog walking business in Venice Beach, California. The company grew fairly quickly, I attracted over 100 clients and maintained a great reputation for over 15 years. I expanded the brand adding a line of specialty dog cookies, which I baked everyday throughout the pandemic, in 2020. Many of my clients started working from home causing the dog walking side of the business to slow down. I decided to move to the east coast to open pop-up shops at vendor events and arts and craft shows. While surrounding myself with other artists, I was inspired to learn how to make candles. But I wanted to create something different than the ordinary style candles sold in a glass jars with oils. I decided to give it all I had, "Go big or go home!" and that's when
THE CANDLE BAR was born.
I combined my love for health and fitness along with my creative spirit and became more in-tune with my well being. Long story short, I met my soulmate, and we moved to New Jersey. We began focusing on our businesses and drinking less alcohol which helps us stay more present and acknowledge that life itself is much more valuable than anything that can be purchased including alcohol. I created the candle bar to help inspire a better future for many people that struggle with addictions and make a place that brings people together again.
In a society where we are constantly locked in our phones, and dependent on technology for everything, I started Lamour's Club. A place to bring humanity back together and form a small community where we can disconnect from social media and step outside the box (our cell phones) to create real relationships with locals, neighbors, and new friends.
To end this little story, I hope that when you shop "The Candle Bar" collections, you will remember that a candle is just a candle, and without YOU it has no light,
but together, we can shine.
